Wedding Ceremonies
If you are dreaming of a wedding ceremony in a venue with or without a licence to carry out marriages, for example in a garden, or at a special venue that is close to your heart, then I can bring your ideal celebration to life. Similarly if you have married legally abroad but also want to have a celebration with your nearest and dearest when you return, or maybe the registrars can't come along on the date or at the time that you want.
Or maybe you would just like a dynamic, fun packed relatively traditional celebration that nobody has heard before, instead of the usual stuff, then a celebrant led ceremony created by me is right up your street!
I can help you to plan a unique ceremony, choreographed according to your exact wishes, held in the venue or location of your choice and with whatever content you would like, including religious elements or symbolic rituals that have a special meaning to both of you. You might choose to include hand fasting, a sand blending ceremony, ring blessings - all representing the joining of a couple in harmony with each other.

Renewal of Vows
To reaffirm your love and celebrate your years together, I can create with you a personally written celebration ceremony to renew the vows you made on your wedding day.
Maybe you would like to mark a wedding anniversary, you have a special birthday coming up, or you didn't have the big wedding that you would have liked for one reason or another - the renewal of your vows could be the most wonderful way to celebrate! These days some couples are choosing to hold their marriage ceremony abroad with friends, and similarly with holding a wedding celebration day, they are renewing their vows when they are able on their return home.
Some people don't have a reason to renew their wedding vows, but just want to declare their continuing love to the world!
There are obviously no legal requirements, so your renewal of vows ceremony can be held at any location you desire.

Naming Ceremonies
A naming ceremony is a wonderful way to introduce your child or children to family and friends, celebrate the blending of two families into one, or welcome an adopted child into the family. Your nearest and dearest can have the opportunity to make promises of commitment and support to the child throughout their life.
A naming ceremony can contain songs, poems, readings, or symbolic rituals. You can celebrate the love that you have for your child wherever and whenever you choose, in your garden, the village hall - anywhere!

Civil Partnerships and Commitment Ceremonies
Not every couple chooses to have a formal wedding ceremony; some choose to not legally marry at all but celebrate their commitment to each other instead with a bespoke ceremony, and many people now opt to enter into a civil partnership instead.
I can help you to create a beautiful celebration ceremony that celebrates the love between you and your partner in the setting of your choosing!
Again, you can choose any symbolic rituals or exchange rings to add in to your ceremony, but whatever you choose you will have the day of your life!

*** Any symbolic rituals that you would like - if you'd like to add hand fasting I'll even make and gift the ribbons to you!
*** Unlimited contact with me to ensure the perfect ceremony;
*** Rehearsal by Zoom if you'd like to have one;
*** Your bespoke and fabulous ceremony conducted on the day;
*** A pretty little commemorative certificate as a memento of the day, with guests witnessing your signature if you'd like that;
*** And finally, you will receive a beautiful presentation copy of your final ceremony script, together with the booklets containing readings and vows that were read from during your precious ceremony.

Please note: Each wedding is individually written and so is unique to you! Except for the ‘Script Only’ service when full payment is required on booking, upon receipt of your 50% full-fee (non-refundable) payment I will secure the ceremony date for you in my diary. Remaining 50% to be paid within 28 days of ceremony date.
Please note - Additional charges for all ceremonies:
Travelling expenses to locations further than 50 miles of Chelveston, Northamptonshire, and accommodation charges, if necessary, which will be agreed upon with you in advance.
Additional fees will also be charged for some items of symbolic ritual equipment such as sand ceremony items, by prior agreement.
How It All Fits Together
My services for your special day all starts with a completely free, no obligation consultation to make sure that we fit together as a working team. Once the booking is made I will send out all the paperwork to you to ensure that we are both protected, and you will pay the booking fee, which is 50% of my fee for that service. On receipt of that payment and the return of the signed contract your booking will be firmly in my diary, and your date is reserved just for you.
About 6 months or so before the big day I will contact you to book a meeting to plan the ceremony in detail. I'll ask questions about the logistics of the ceremony that you might not even have thought about. We'll talk about whether you would like to add in symbolic rituals such as handfasting or ring blessings, for example, and by the end of the meeting we'll both know exactly what is likely to happen on the day!
Then the writing will begin, and I'll start to create your beautiful ceremony. Each wedding is individually written and so is unique to you!
8 weeks or so before your ceremony date I will get in touch again, and after you have paid the balance of my fee, we'll meet up again to read through the first draft of the ceremony. From this stage, you can change any part of the ceremony. If you have chosen to keep your vows secret from each other I'll ask you to email me a copy - separately, of course - and I'll get everything printed and ready for the ceremony.
The day itself will come round so quickly! I'll arrive at the venue about an hour early to ensure that your photographer knows what's going to happen and when, and the musicians know when they need to start your music. I also have a mains / battery operated PA system for the ceremony if needed. Everything will be ready, and all you need do is to arrive!
After the ceremony, I will present you with your commemorative certificate which you and your witnesses or supporters signed during the ceremony, together with a keepsake souvenir copy of your entire script, readings and vows!
